We have gotten out hands on the first picture of the Verizon Nokia Lumia 822, the carrier’s own exclusive version of the Nokia Lumia 820.

That means a WVGA screen of course and similar specs and comes with LTE in tow.

The handset also has the same 8 megapixel back shooter and also a front-facing camera. The back appears to have a soft-touch high-grip finish very unlike the glossy shells we have now become used to.

The handset will likely hit the market around the same time or soon after the HTC 8X, which has already been announced for Verizon.
