New Reduced Pricing for Nook Color and Nook HD Tablet

As the shipping time, for Nook HD tablet and Nook Color has arrived Barnes & Noble has reduced the prices of these high-end gadgets. The new price of Nook Color is $139, and Nook Tablet is $159 for 8GB and $179 for 16GB. It seems that B&N will keep these models in the market until the whole holiday season to grab more and more sales.

Comparison with the past prices

These gadgets were launched in the year-end of 2011, and at that time, the prices were similar for the refurbished versions. Later when Amazon came in competition with its Kindle Fire device Barnes & Noble also slashed down its price for the 8GB and 16 GB versions.

Nook HD Features

Nook HD is a lighter device with a 7-inch screen having high resolution and expandable memory slot. But its downside in comparison with its competitors like Google and Amazon is that it lacks camera and does not hold media and apps.

More plans of Barnes & Noble are coming forward such as 9-inch Nook HD+ tablet with the starting price of $269; its 32 GB model will go up to $299. According to companies news the November 8 will be the availability date for Nook HD+.
